Description:
This role is crucial in supporting the daily budgetary and accounting operations, with a reach that extends across the entire campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliation of budget forms and various accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Transcribing the budget forms into a csv file entry that is then uploaded to Banner daily
- Checking and responding to emails
- Scanning backup documentation into our digital archive, typically weekly
- Periodic help with department deficit and budget checks and tracking and analyze financial transactions, trends, and variances to maintain strict budget guidelines across campus initiatives.
- Filing prior 12 month of backup documentation in physical binders, and shredding any documentation older than that
- Actively assist in comprehensive budget reviews for the Provost Office and campus-wide departments, contributing to strategic financial planning.
- Conduct thorough analysis on diverse financial datasets, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Perform other essential administrative duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the Provost Office.

Qualifications:
- Must be a current SUU student.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent listening, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Possess the ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Strong preference for candidates with finance or accounting background.
